Building instructions

Introduction

Although the construct  in the building instruction only has 2 levels of units in the base, we would highly recommend that You build it to at least 12 levels in order to get the unit up from the base plate. The number of units  to achieve 12 levels are the red numbers in brackets in the materials list.

Colour wise, You can use any colours of  Your choice but we felt that the  colours we have recommended are favourable.                           The construct in the pictures differs somewhat in colours compared to the list of materials needed.

In order to achieve stability for the long term durability of the construct we recommend that You glue the pieces together.

Stage 1

With the baseplate in situ, begin with finding the centre of the base plate. Place the relevant bricks around the centre.

For this initial stage You need:

4 pieces of 4181134, Brick 2x6, Brick Yellow

1 piece of  4114319, Brick 2x4, Brick Yellow

For the following stages, You can see what bricks You need at the relevant stage and how they are put together in the following stage.

Stage 2

Although the construct  in the building instruction only has 2 levels of units in the base, we would highly recommend that You build it to 12 levels in order to get the unit up from the base plate.

This will facilitate working in the unit with Your arthroscope.

Stagger the pieces so that You achieve stability. Basically You only need 2 patterns that You alternate.

Stage 3

You will now put a top on the base of the construct.

Remember to make it as high as You want it in order to facilitate working in the model.

Stage 4

Now You make the first waist which will serve to hold Your covering material in place.

Stage 5

This stage is about creating the base for Your surgical area.

We highly recommend gluing the pieces together from this stage.

This base is constructed from the 1/3 thickness pieces.

Stage 6

You are now starting on the more advanced construct.

The colours in the picture are diversified in order to give You a better idea of what pieces are required. This is also true for the following stages.

Stage 7

You can always count the top knobs to see at what distances the next units should be placed

Stage 8

Simple continuation

Stage 9

We recommend starting from the back of the construct at this stage

You have now created a shelve from under which, You can hang modules and figures

Stage 10

This stage simply supplies stability and a roof

Stage 11

You are now starting to finish the "joint space".

Stage 12

You will now start constructing the foundation for the upper waist

Stage 13

Proceed as shown

Stage 14

You are now finishing the upper waist

Stage 15

Only the top left

Stage 16

And a hat

Final Construct

This is what Your model should look like when You are finished.

Congratulations on completing the build.

Best of luck with Your training in the future.

Dressing Your Model 1

In order to dress Your model, You will need 4 Rubber bands of about 5 cm in diameter.

Dressing Your Model 2

You will also need some plastic sheet from garbage bags or like.

The piece should be approximately 15 cm by 32 cm.

If You want to use fluids, You will need a somewhat longer  piece of plastic, approximately 15 cm by 40 cm. You may also need more rubber bands.

Ready to roll construct

The completed and covered construct is now ready to be used.

In the examples shown, we have used double layered plastic, but You will be able to use only one layer if You choose.

Try out what works best for You.

Ready to roll in White

Just to let You know how the white looks
